Instead of waiting 10 minutes below ground for the T to take me from south station to the financial district I would wear sneakers to work walk the 1.5 miles to the office, instead of waiting in line at the elevator in the morning I would walk up the stairs, instead of eating lunch at my desk or in the cafeteria I would walk 1/2 mile to the Boston common and eat there.

I think that ADUs definitely have this trendy vibe that eclipses the economic realities of them.  

I'll do the floors again before I sale it... and do them in whatever the trend is then.

I see a lot of similarities with this strategy and back when house flipping became trendy, and all the promoters were out selling how easy it could be and persons were flooding to "break in" and than finding confusion as to the details and intricacies.

(Maybe 3 trendy apartments, office space, etc)The woman who owns the building in my town wasn’t originally going to buy it some 15 years ago when it came up for sale but her father talked her into it explaining to her the intelligence of the long term tenant and how her coffee shop would have customers all day with the postal customers.

He had 3 pairs of sneakers in there and a belt with a metal buckle.

Very trendy with a warm modern stye, all tile floors throughout entire house, solid wood cabinets with soft close, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, walk in shower with rain head fixture, double vanity master bath, walk in closet.

@Jennifer Williams although it is quite trendy now it is not recommended to paint exterior birck as it prohibits the brick from breathing during freeze and thaw cycles causing spalling and other damage.You will also be causing a maintence free exterior needing to be painted on a regular basis.

I saw lots of trendy shops (hipster-ish), large development projects underway, and commercial/retail (Park City Mall etc.).
