Some days it can be very, very tough, and other days you just want to "Pinch" yourself because your having so much fun; but it isn't a Passive Investment like you might get with some of the other options you mentioned... but in my biased opinion it's a whole lot better.I hope that helps a little.All the Best!

Larger commercial borrowers may feel the pinch, I can see loan to values dropping on larger transactions,but big deals usually go to other sources of funds not local commercial banks.

You need to get with a tax advisor as to your tax election for your LLC, that will have a bearing on how you will be reporting taxes.I find getting an LLC set up from LegalZoom for a note business to be rather amusing, pinching pennies and buying notes. :) Take care, you may get to be our test case for the SAFE Act, DF, and brokerage requirements being in the note business in an LLC.
