I really enjoy that aspect of my business - I work with some great people over and over.

I would spend summers working at job sites so the construction aspect is not foreign to me.I am also a trained CFP, certified financial planner, so the numbers aspect is not confusing.I suppose the main challenge I have is actually buying a house.

On one side it's a business aspect, your roommates don't have to know who owns the property, or how much you pay.

Don't waste your time trying to learn all the aspects to investing all at once.

There was more made on the turnover of the property than there was on the rental aspect of the property.

Another aspect that will allow me to control construction costs is by not using an outside construction company.  

If you can handle the "people" aspect by reading them, listening to them, I believe you will have better success.  

I'm almost positive that the tenant will have a different financial issue going forward, but it may be in another aspect of their life.  

I'm not really involved in that aspect of it, so I'd hesitate to endorse any particular company because I can't actually speak to how good/bad any particular company is.Google searching "Loan Servicing TitleCompanyName" is a place to start.
