;) I have a lot of experience with the tax system with regard to 1031s and rental investment taxation (and of course I'm a homeowner myself), and I generally just enjoy the puzzle-esque nature of tax questions and getting sucked into a deep research dive, but I always advise that people speak with a tax professional because the tax code is dense and convoluted - play it safe and pay a pro!
