Just be patient @Manasa Srinath you will find a tenant soon and be sure you’ve checked what your comp’s are renting for.

Properties are not running anywhere Be patient and your rentals will be a blessing

I have no debt and am patient and disciplined with my assets...So, I'm open to ideas and connections about how to mix and match real estate buying/investing in those areas with a possible career switch into some kind of real estate W2 income. 

@Christopher Freeman it may be a little short sighted to just dismiss their satisfaction because you believe they will never rent from you again.

If your purchases in CA made you happy, no one is going to rain on your parade.However, most people will look at the profit (return on investment) along with the sense of satisfaction of having bought.

I was the one making the decisions.It took that failure as an investor to learn to be patient. 

Investors are always looking for agents that will "put up with our antics" so if you're patient and willing the rewards can be great. 

But, stick to your numbers and be patient.  

I'd like to get an idea of their market value (just for my own satisfaction), without paying the $X00 per building for a formal appraisal - again, the valuation is just for my own personal knowledge, not for any financing, sale, etc. 

Be patient and buy when the market cools down or if/when a correction happens.4.
