If you really want to get specifIc and use a spreadsheet to determine the exact number of days for your investment, enter your purchase date in one cell, the closing date in another cell and in a third cell, subtract the two dates to determine the exact number of days you had your money invested.

With this panel I use a  Z-Wave deadbolt and  thermostat, both of which I am able to run from the panel which runs on Wifi OR Cell Service which is a plus in rural areas or places were wifi drops or is unavailable.

I'll spare you the Being Prepared clichés  :)    First thing that came to my mind was, I would have either used my cell phone or tablet and quickly downloaded a contract and had her sign that in lieu of any other documentation.

I hope that my participation (mostly lurking for now) on this forum will help me build that network in California and my knowledge base as I accumulate a nest egg through my day job.As far as tackling the high prices in my area, I have a great interest in starting with a single family home in Stockton (about 1.5 hours away), and moving onto multi-families once I get that first property under my belt.

If it's a smaller amount, you can try to just pay them off, but definitely do that before trying to save a nest egg.
