I am surprised that the property manager for the condo did not inform the association or try to contact me.

Also their offices are within a few miles of my property so it's much more convenient.

To add, it is not impossible to find a lender/bank to give you a mortgage when also loaning the down payment because, surprisingly, not all ask or confirm where the money came from.
