Looking for suggestions on co-hosting, STR market analysis, RE investing for or in retirement - just reading anything I can get my hands on in my (late in life) RE journey.

Commercial agents have additional incentives to do "pocket listings" in order to increase the likelihood of avoiding a co-op commission.

I'm also thinking about looking to co-share the ownership.  

Do check ins every 6 months-check the furnace filter and batteries in the smoke detectors/CO detectors to make sure they are working. 

The housing authority is a bit like a co-signer for the lease so they would just decline to sign on grounds of an unqualified property and the lease would never execute.  

Sure, but they are the minority and those who fall under this category will find a way to name the individual as a co-defendant irrespective of whether there is merit or a separate management LLC.

I personally am located and invest in the Colorado Springs metro area and would advise that you may not find many BRRRR opportunities on-market and will have to do some work to find these deals off-market. 

@Jacob ZivanovichPartnering with someone who can co-sign your loan can be a great way to get started with your house hack, provided the partnership is equitable and well-structured.

You also are relying on appreciation if you want to do a C/O refinance, potentially limiting how much cash you can get out.
