I know it is always possible to get an apartment pretty quickly, but if im currently mentally exhausted by paying rent in exchange for nothing rather than paying mortgage in exchange for equity, how should i anticipate this issue and be better prepared for when something like this possibly happens.

@Rick SheldonFunny one here :) So, no idea if that was intentional - but it looks kind of like something wasn't quite fully planned somewhere along the way :)A few things - some items, likely in your basement, still can exhaust through an existing chimney.

Mattress stores, vape shops, Indian restaurants (strong smells can linger over into other tenants units because of the strong spices) unless special filtration exhaust equipment, churches ( lenders do not like giving loans as the tenants can be problematic), some gyms unless operator has very high net worth with personal guarantee.If the space has been very hard to backfill with lots of possible tenants passing then may be worth a look.

Being an experienced property manager with a brother in construction who I can turn to for advice, I am able to GC the projects (as needed) and I'm completing repairs myself to save money wherever possible.My dilemma: While the seeing the physical transformations of our projects has been extremely gratifying, the process as a whole has been exhausting
