Not a fan of poison and not because of the smell if they run into a wall or a box spring and die, which can happen but the smell actually goes away fairly quickly, but rather from watching a few die from it (awful) and the fact that they can run outside with the poison in them where coyotes, owls, raptors, lions, snakes, dogs, cats, etc. may eat them and suffer the same awful death from the poison.

For the plumbing, we snake it out or if there is a recurring root issue, we have the local plumber come snake it out with a cutting snake.
