The last time a troop reduction was even mentioned, lawmakers on both sides of the border put the kibosh on it reeeal quick.Regardless of what the state/national economy does, service members on military bases get paid the 1st and the 15th, guaranteed.The DoD long ago implemented measures to reduce the impact on local economies during troop deployments, meaning gone are the days of a "mass exodus" of soldiers during deployments.

I'm currently reading @David Greene's "Long-Distance Real Estate Investing" and if you haven't read it, I HIGHLY recommend it whether or not your properties are in another state or in your backyard, he deploys a great system and I plan to steal many of his tricks.My focus is on commercial multifamily properties right off the bat (5-10 unit range).

I will continue to take the meager match my employer gives (25% match of 6% of salarty), but I don't see the harm in cashing out the 22k from the old Roth 401k and then start over with my new employer and deploy that 22k into cash flow producing assets.

This may sound a bit strange because I am a real estate broker as well, and I do enjoy getting paid my commissions, but your best bet is to deploy some type of marketing to attract the motivated sellers for the types of properties you'd like to purchase
