We do not like the busier islands like Thomas and John and some people do not either, so are creating a niche market to attract individuals that are not coming for tourism, but to be more embraced with the local culture and get away from the tourism heavy/city environments.Our vacation home will be done in 5 month, PM if you would like to come stay and see what is going on in STX.

I’m not sure what the entire picture looks like yet or how I will get there but when I ran across the BiggerPockets podcast while looking for something to expand my knowledge and to listen to during my drive in to and from work, it seemed like a godsend.So in summation, thank you to Brandon and Josh for getting me here via podcast, I’m looking forward to getting to know the rest of you on this site, and I’m ready to start this crazy new adventure!

I have a question for all the BP experts.I am fully aware (and abide by) all owner occupant requirements when dealing with any type of government owned/marketed homes (HUD, Homepath, etc).However - I ran across a new listing today that is simply bank owned (national lender) in which they are forcing a 14-day owner occupant only period.
