I used RentPrep's TransUnion SmartMove with income verification and judgments/lien add-ons.

Oddly, foreign national loans are very efficient as there is often limited income and employment verification. 

Find a reliable cleaner and a handyman and your set.

If you have rental verification they should go off your rental number though, maybe it's because it's a hard money lender.

Were they reliable in getting the rent payments processed from the tenant's checking / savings account to the landlord's account?

I'm not sure why they are so wrong, but Zillow is not always reliable.
