Those laws are mostly outdated, sexist anti "bordello" laws and I can not imagine they are enforced.

Could it be that it’s because the local government is anti short term rentals and this is there attempt to hinder us?

If they have anti-social disorder, especially if they have committed sex-offences no one wants them, and they might have other felonies as well.The non-crazy SSDI recipients fare better; they can get along with a room-mate and since they are more sympathetic, they'll probably have better luck finding subsidized housing. 

@Jason Layman to keep it in perspective I am pretty much anti condo as an investor in any situation. 

Many banks actually don't require you to hold property for a set amount of time (some exceptions) they just have anti assignment clauses in their contracts.

I keep reading that you cannot/should not sell a property you have with 1) low equity and 2) before six months (some examples I see is that it is illegal to do so due to anti-money laundrying laws).

I don't think you can make the market bend to your will, which is what this big press for affordable housing is pressing for.Recently I heard about an anti poverty group that was actually making some progress with a small group.
