I've heard of companies like this and can see how they would complicate any disputes.

That's generally not the case -- more people generally makes for a more complicated business with higher overhead and less getting done.

And the 10% give or take that truly save money (usually a boatload) using an expert as they live complicated financial lives. 

If it has been over a year you would only need to pay LTCG (15% for most) ONLY on the gains since your shares vested.Stock in 401k - Believe it or not, this may be the most complicated holding you have. 

It's not that complicated.

We have found that a lot of new investors simply do not know what to look for and when to look for it in terms of due diligence, deal analysis, and the various complications that inevitably come up along the way of a full-cycle real estate investment.

Complicating this issue is the need to do a 10-31 due to stepped up value/capital gains tax on half of the land.  

Consider working with contractors or renovation specialists to obtain accurate cost estimates and assess the feasibility of your renovation plans within your budget constraints.Risk Mitigation: Keep in mind that renovations come with risks, including cost overruns, project delays, and unforeseen complications.

At least up here, service is VERY important and VERY complicated, so you and/or your attorney need to make sure that you cover all the bases. 

They try to make it seem like it's more complicated than it actually is.
