When you de-couple punishment from bad behavior, people will exploit and push the limits everytime. 

I was forced to settle this cut and dried eviction case because the state isnt allowing jury trials for unlawful detainer until God knows when.

However, most SC leases have a rider in there about criminal activities and unlawful behavior.

I’ve never heard of a person that has a degree get punished vise versus a person that made it in their life now they have to pay higher taxes???

From there, it would proceed to court as part of suit (tenant vs. landlord) in unlawful exclusion.  

Some people are ok with generational punishment.

I had seen something similar as far as landlords paying damages to tenants for an unlawful or retaliatory termination of the lease.

@Javier RosalesI think it's a mistake, but the current economic system rewards borrowers and punishes savers, so I would borrow as much as I could at fixed rates as prices of everything (including real estate) should be going up for a while.
