I'm pretty sure catfishing is when someone pretends to be someone/something they're not.  

We all know the "assumer" can lie and pretend they are the borrower with the servicer)The person assuming the loan can get the note called by the lender for the assumption and there is nothing the assumer can say or do about itThe person letting their loan get assumed can have their credit destroyed if the assumer gets bored and quits paying

You can still have a manager run those other units and pretend you are just another tenant (one that doesn't pay rent) but it will get you into a property that will hopefully cash flow once you move out with as little money into it as possible.My other suggestion would be to invest with partners or in a syndication.
