If I put a beautiful 200k home next to yours will the retail buyer pick yours over the one with granite counter tops and hardwood floors?

Kitchen is wide open with plenty of storage and granite counter tops; kitchen is furnished with new stainless steel appliances.

Just bought a house that I'm renovating as part of a BRRRR, and I'm trying to decide what the best material is for flooring, countertops, and lighting.

Renovations include new kitchen/ss appliances/custom cabinetry/granite countertops, 2 new bathrooms, freshly painted throughout, new carpeting, refinished hardwood floors, convenient laundry hook-up on the first floor, new plumbing, updated boiler and hot water tank, new electrical, new siding.

It was stated, not much is going to change besides entrance size, removable cabinets, countertops, etc.

This includes making some new cuts on my counter top because the new sink was 2 inches bigger.

Let them justify 17 year old laminate countertops.

No carpet, solid surface counter tops, Semi Gloss painted walls to name a few.

I had a guy who could do plumbing repairs, replace shower surrounds, replace countertops, do light electrical repairs (like changing out a plug socket). 

Like I said, the CMA indicates that houses have been selling in this area at the $140-150 price range.I definitely agree with you that it's almost required to have stainless steel appliances/ nice counter tops.
