Multi-Family with NO Certificate of OccupancyI have discovered I am in a deal to purchase a houseand units with seemingly NO Certificate of Occupancy from the City.It appears these are supposed to be applied for by the original contractor,however the city has NO record.These units have been renting since 1951,does anyone have experience in this area ?

The reason for that is because where I will be building (private land that does not require county permitting in that state) doesn't require I go through that process, and it is more just to do a feasibility run, as well as discover true costs as far as labor and extra material.

However, I did discover that the property was refinanced in 2004 and I found foreclosure filings from late 2010 to early 2011 (appointment of substitute trustee, etc).
