I don't know any builders here, so I am wondering a few things: - Does anyone have a builder that would be interested in doing a single infill project (there is another infill lot going up on the street, might try and connect with them) - I am in between paying for it myself with cash during construction (maybe the home will cost 150-200k to build?)

What makes me nervous is that the cashflow accounts for about 70% of my income and I'm wondering if it makes more sense in my situation to sell and diversify.

My girlfriend and I are looking to get into Multifamily real estate investing and have also looked into the possibility of house hacking, although a good affordable property seems to be tough but not impossible in this area.

Get a trusted contractor to go through the walkthrough with you. 

I'd like to get $30k, I'm just not sure how to calculate the percentage of ownership that would amount to.
