Hi Sandra, as soon as you can estimate the amount of gain you will recognize from the flip you should pay an estimated tax on that amount.

Hi Kristin, if you reached out to a lender about refinancing the property and they turned you away due to the loan amount, then it was most likely a DSCR loan product.

No lender will lend on a deal that doesn’t make sense.4) After the appraisal comes back you will get a document that outlines the amount to be borrowed and all fees that will be relating to the loan (I would suggest to ask for an example of this document when you are searching for an HML so you will know what fees are going to show up).5) Close the loan at a title company of your choice.6) Begin work and make draws on any repair balance.

@Austin Tessyes, you can get a loan to do a flip, but flipping still requires your own cash - it's typically impossible for a brand new investor to borrow an amount that covers all of the costs of a flip.
