My wife and I use to live in central GA and in North Carolina but moved out to Arizona a couple years ago.

I could also add there is often construction in central Houston and it does cause unforseen issues. 

I have lumber liquidators, home Depot, Lowe's, and who knows what else near me (central CT).

As a General Contractor myself here in east central Texas, I can tell you that connecting with local GCs via Facebook groups can be incredibly helpful.

I'm an investor, flipper, and property management company owner in central CT. 

And getting entirely into speculation if doge really wants to cut the federal work force, an idea I’m not totally opposed to, centralizing operations and closing your Cleveland field office, or your St.

HUD does not factor into the rent other amenities that might be included in the rent such as garage, basement, fieplace, central air, pool etc, that might command higher rent in the non-Section 8 market place. 

Also slower than last month in central coastal Florida, like @Anand S., but this is a slower season, with kids back in school and hurricane season still “on.” 

If you’re open to exploring nearby markets, like northwest Georgia or north-central Alabama, you may have an easier time finding properties within your buy box.
