I lived in Superior for a while and commuted downtown every day (get satellite radio ha).I'm a realtor, so fortunately I have instant access to what is hitting the market and it's still very hard to find something before 50 other people have found it as soon as it hits the MLS.

And look at something newer where capital expenses won't creep up and hit you.And anyone telling you to lose $12K a year because you make $240K a year probably isn't the best fit.

Even though we did not get a direct hit we encountered a storm surge that reached 5 to 8 feet in some area.

It hit the pocket for sure on a per property basis.

I was living by myself at that time, and was very much into house hacking, but the pandemic hit and disrupted my plans.

@Andrew Steffens hit it on the head, in my opinion.

I sold most of my properties when COVID hit and prices skyrocketed, and now I'm looking to get back into it.

After that, there’s a shoulder season with plenty of weekend bookings, but once winter hits, things slow down a lot.
