I lived and worked outside austin and came to the area with a gc licence from another state.

I got my brokers licence 5 or 6  years ago (I did not have my agents licence yet), and talking with people waiting before the testing room opened, most had taken it multiple times.  

He has a contractor licence and knows how to fix things.I myself is interested in the other end: ultra modern buildingsopened between 2007-2009 -- the prime of the bubble!

I see they 'just' provide the pre exam licence.

I know he absolutely must have insurance but what about being licenced?

Then got my GC licence and started slowly building.

For example, I was stationed in Louisiana but went ahead and got my licence in Kentucky because I knew that's where I would soon be putting it to use.

You're going to have to pay a broker one way or another, MLS access, E&O insurance if your broker doesn't cover it, post licence education (might vary depending on your state), continuing education, etc.

It is very useful for investing around here IMO.Where you hanging your licence?
