I like where I live and it has the potential to be a good rental for me down the line, so I've decided to go through with making the purchase.

Hey @Thanh Lu, so you didn't say where you are located so it is important to check down to the city level what constitutes a tenant vs guest.Most often it is 30 days or more, but there are some that state 28 days or even more vague for squatters rights.

At least in the last 8 years or so.

I was in both architecture and real estate development for 18 years, so I'll be bringing that experience to the table.Looking to get back into the game with some big plans.
