My goals are lofty to say the least but I believe that it is possible to achieve them even thought my parents and everyone else says they are just not going to happen. 

My parents have been pushing me to buy a home for years and I just haven't been ready.

Most of the middle class falls into the trap of two working parents, long time and energy sucking commutes, always stressed for time, buying stuff to keep up, eating out frequently, etc. if you are truly middle class the only thing preventing you from wealth is you (exceptions for major illness or other uncontrollable life events).

My parents and my sister currently own in El Cajon and Rancho San Diego.

I am an Accounting major with 3 semesters left at UVU, I have many cousins, Aunts/Uncles, grand parents, and parents who all do real estate (mostly buy and hold in Provo/Orem). 

We will be living with her parents and be living pretty cheap.

My father asked me to be on the deed for a rental house he is buying. He will handle the mortgage, he just wants me on the deed. His reasoning is that this will more easily allow me to manage the property if he passes...

Another goal in parallel is also to build a REI portfolio for my family (2 awesome siblings & my parents).I came to join Bigger Pockets in order to learn from seasoned pros, beginners, & everything else in between & possibly even work with some of you in the future.

I am currently working on purchasing an 8 unit property from my parents who are tired of the land lording life.
