@Max EmoryWe use a company called Scale Virtually, and they do a good job vetting their VAs, and I agree with you, I wouldn't hire a VA for high level important tasks, but reporting, such as our weekly pulses, general ledger stuff, they work well and free up our employees to do other tasksGino

Once you put a second loan on a property, it's leverage is high and it's leveraged against another property so the scale is limited.

I will say, although I started my real estate investing journey with furnished short/mid term rentals, if you want to scale, long term unfurnished is likely the best way to go.

I haven't found many folks who have had success with it yet, especially at any scale. 

I would just say that before you go full scale, get an attorney to order a full title search and do a proper review. 

Also my advice would be whatever grade neighborhood you think youbare buying in subtract a letter grade from it lol.
