I've been research and strongly considering investing in a STR in a major market with significant tourist attraction like Miami/South Beach. 

Estes Park is a large tourist destination.

If it’s tourist centric, see what the secondary economic driver is.

The town was only a minor resort/vacation area historically, not a big tourist draw.

The area that this place is located in is all tourist destination, and there are probably 50 or so other similar rentals within a few miles, should I just set my own pricing or is it worth subscribing to one of the pricing tools in a situation like this? 

I think you are safe in a "ski/outdoorsy" market, especially if it's an area that is already drawing in tourists!  

I visited Austin last November, 2019 as a tourist for the F1 race.

I’m sure there are other parts of FL that could work, but being near the ocean, in the oldest city in America with a national park, Fort Matanzas, helps to make it a top tourist destination year round.
