It will be faster to rip out the drywall and have new installed and textured than to try and remove the wallpaper.

The one I rented was almost the same physical size as the one I had (A HD one I used to use to pump out the spa) but it came with a 1.5" hose and it would shoot a jet of water out of that hose. 

They should have beat the Jets.

I can see it working as an accent wall with a textured wallpaper, but it would only be a small section and not the whole room.
