Collier County put out a notice recently that states:"In most Zoning Districts that allow dwelling units, transient lodging (less than 6 months) is not a use that is listed as a permitted, accessory, or conditional use in Ordinance 2004-41, as amended, the Collier County Land Development Code.

I wish other angles to increase housing supply were also being explored in Boston...they started an accessory dwelling unit expansion "pilot" program but i think it only included 2 neighborhoods.

Besides becoming an expert in this area, I'm a real estate lawyer, which makes it easier for me to understand the laws & zoning codes I'm reading.As far as I know, there is only one County in California where tiny homes are legal as Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU), a unit placed on the property that already has a home on it.

Ideally, even get a property with an extended backyard where I could build a detached accessory dwelling unit (DADU) on the same property.

I love the ability to make a list of items on Amazon and then I just order that same list every single time for the basic accessories - kitchen, bedrooms, and even coffee tables/desks, rugs, etc.

I lived there from 2015-2019 and didn't see much opportunity for what I was comfortable with - however, I think a viable option, (albeit hard to find) is to find a Accessory dwelling unit somewhere in Phoenix.

People sleeping in tents, vans, and tiny houses on wheels, are classified as accessory recreational vehicles in the zoning code and are subject to the requirements noted in paragraph 20.

Joe Bertolino I'm looking at the same angle but elsewhere in CA... the Accessory Dwelling Unit provision applies statewide!
