This could certainly be a viable strategy to use an appraiser to get what could be the banks appraised value down the road, but I am willing to bet it would take a lot of searching to find that good appraiser who could both nail the value and be able to do so while looking at a piece of crap that will be a gorgeous home later.I agree that it would probably be tough for any old appraiser to do, it isn't that easy to have that level of vision.
