It is HARD to find a new tenant in January here because we have harsh winters.

However while I think @John Thedford is a little harsh and extreme in his position, he is a well respected member here, and makes some very good points to consider.

Throughout all the reading and podcasts I have listened to, somewhere(I do not recall) I remember hearing/reading that buying properties in areas that have harsh winters is not the best idea.
