I don't have personal experience with it, but when the app was first developed, I contacted the developer and put the app through a fairly robust test usage to see if it's something I would want to recommend to my clients (I'm a CPA).I think the app is great for its intended purpose and I do recommend it to my clients now (and have for about 18 months now). 

Instead, you could explore pulling equity out through a home equity line of credit (HELOC) or a cash-out refinance.

No social or credit pull needed upfront. 

Private lenders tend to focus more on the value of the asset or project rather than your credit score or financial history.

Lake Berkley or Terra Verde come to mind, they are peaceful yet still fairly close to the parks.

A line of credit won’t commit you to a monthly payment unless you use the money, so you can avoid paying interest when it’s not in use.
