I'm only familiar with the field from a clinicians perspective.

They won’t downsize as long as the missile field doesn’t move... it’s not going anywhere 😁.

Also, as I am in CA, it would be impractical to be "boots on the ground" for an extended length of time to visit properties and  attend numerous auctions in person.

Markets are like playing fields. 

But working full time, I have found that it will take a bit longer than I would like to finish school, and even then, I have been unsure of what field of work I would want to end up in.

I don’t feel like it’s necessary to elaborate on the math because it’s also going to be necessary to calculate leech-field size. 

I personally think it's easier to get a general contractor's license (especially here in Chicago - it's almost sad how easy it is), but that just means there are a lot of bad contractors.Almost all states require architects to take a state licensing exam and need to have a bachelors degree in similar field to even take the test.I found for me, if I can just find people who are really good at what they do (and enjoy it) I can let them do that and I can just focus on finding deals and building the team.  

I believe that this would be a great fit for me as I aspire to find a new career field for myself.
