Considering living there 2 yrs, selling and doing it again.The easy alternative is to build an accessory dwelling limit of 800sf.

They are not considered pets in any circumstance but like Nathan said they are still considered as occupants or accessory to the occupants, so any and all damages caused are tenant responsibility.

A quick search also shows only 20 approved over the course of the last 10 years roughly (Although that article isnt the most accurate, as it does confuse an Accessory Dwelling Unit with the Fairfax County Affordable Dwelling Unit program. 

And then legally adding an ADU (accessory dwelling unit) or two.

. :) Are you asking as a potential landlord, a potential poolowner at your own personal residence, or as someone who wants to sell swimming pools / pool supplies / pool accessories?

It's a Single Family Residence (SFR) with an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU / Grandma Unit) in the back.

Food, water, accessories, RE, metals etc are aall part of my plan and will continue to be that.

The first is whether an accessory structure can be rented long-term separate from the primary structure if the owner does not live there. 

@Jared Kampschroeder CA now allows Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) and they have ok'd container homes for this purpose, it's great if you already own a home or land in CA.

please advise  SB68 states “Require a permitted junior accessory dwelling unit to be constructed within the walls of the proposed or existing single-family residence.”.
