I would try a local or regional bank first.  

As for target area, I would assume I'd start in areas closer to home like Toronto and the GTA.

I work out of Vaughan with a specific focus in Vaughan, Kleinburg and few pockets in Toronto.

I'd venture to say I will become more regionally focused at some point, but for now there are great prospects close to home.

I need to relearn the new rules and methods that work for todays investing market and my region.
