With technology nowadays, I don't find it necessary to have an in town tax accountant.

I won't lie, I do get some delusions of grandeur about owning/operating my own small airport.

That is what the attorney is for.Because you made the MISTAKE of letting this tenant know you are the owner (nothing good ever comes of this, despite what many posters state), you may need to tell a white lie to extricate you & your wife as the "bad guys" he'll hold responsible.Maybe tell him your "partner" is taking over because they don't like how you're managing the property.

But the process of trying something new was fun and I would be lying if I said I didnt want to try my hand at it again!

Google the addresses and make sure they aren't lying about where they lived.I think those are the basics.

My concern lies in how can I mention this duplex or attached unit in a rental post, without making it less appealing to prospective tenants?  

I realize I could make a buck more by dealing with all the headaches managing an out of state STR with technology, but my marriage and time with my family is worth more than that :)  

It's a market shift, be grateful on the times you had but numbers don't lie.
