Going into the summer months (and mass layoffs haven't begun yet), you could dump it, stay liquid and wait and see if opportunities crop up. 

Coronavirus hit the world, no one was prepared.Companies started closing down.Pay starts to get cut, and then the layoffs happen.This happened to me recently and I'm curious what to do with this 401(k).

One thing I've been considering the last few days is that besides the layoffs, tech companies have given their employees permission to work from home to the end of the year or longer.

At best, they will struggle, and lay off some staff.

There were gas shortages, inflation, stagnation, massive layoffs, civil unrest, president resigns, massive crime in cities....the wheels looked like they were coming off and quick.

@Jason Krick, the company I worked for had talked about a major layoff happening about a month prior before it happened.

Do you think if the area got hit with massive layoffs, job loss etc, the market would have any consideration what you are wanting to charge? 

A lot of direct lenders layoff their people, so its worthwhile going independent.

It took an unexpected layoff from a job I was working for 20+ years to finally wake up & get the ball rolling.
