On a large scale, we are working on a healing and arts retreat in a 58,600 square foot facility.

This will help you learning how to identify which markets/ areas are good for investing, types of properties to pursue in these markets/ areas, learning how to analyze a property to determine feasibility of acquisition, the art of due diligence and market analysis, determining which which financing is best to pursue, etc.

It's, unfortunately, more of an art than a science.  

It's an imperfect science, which is why real estate investment is as much art as it is science.

I agree with @Patricia Lowe look up the Flagler Arts Village, and also Downtown Hollywood.

All kinds of options have come up, from storage to little art studios, possibly small efficiencies, etc., which are all still up in the air.  

Professors might be good long term tenants if they are in music, art, math, IT, or anything other than law or poli-sci.

One thing I've learned from other seasoned investors is the art of pushing away a seller.  

I come from a family of construction, builders, and art and faux and i've watched them do some pretty amazing things.

I wish someone wouldn’t have hacked that blog site about them... it really was a piece of art assembled by all the prior landlords up to when Andy got them, he just didn’t take a couple extra minutes and google their names or he’d have seen the blog pop up 1st article in his search.
