Originally areas like Dade County Florida (Miami) were monitoring areas. 

Due to Hurricane Helene, we had to unilaterally cancel a number of guest bookings in Cocke County, TN. 

Ive started a mail campaign with properties in my local area( Providence County).

One is go online for the state and county the property is in and see if there is a redemption period for the type of purchase you made.

Are there other STR markets you're looking into or even other counties nearby?

My biggest piece of advice is to get a killer rental agreement/lease for Cook County.

Then either the county or city condemned on at least two of the buildings and demolished them.The goal of real estate investing is financial freedom.

Just saw this....although that may not be illegal in some states it is certainly un-ethical IMHO Yeah...but on a positive note cslb sting just nailed 13 trunk slammers in El Dorado county:)

They can:1) Put language in their agreements allowing them to place liens2) Some counties allow a purchase contract to be recorded as a lien3) Most though, do it borderline illegally
