No, I have not seen anyone pull this off.Additionally, many lenders want no part in this because if the relationship between the two (or more) veterans goes south, then the loan is in trouble.However, I have 2 lenders that confirm they actually do these, but do so few and far between.

It's my understanding that you need someone that is local to be a majority owner (for many of the Asian countries).

The problem comes in here. he is trying to get into another house in south florida using his VA loan so he can avoid  a down payment. the mortgage that we are going to be taking over is with a va loan. is he able to have 2 properties with a va loan and still avoid that down payment?

It's not that you can't find a nice house here or there south of say Coffeeville Road or even Price, but it's pretty rare.
