That's a great idea, get several different types of foliage and colors for visual interest, plant in groups along the fence and next to the house.Post "after" pics when it's finished!

The idea is based on the stairs being a deterrent for bad guys sneaking through the house.

I totally understand wanting liquidity, but if there is no mortgage tax (and excise tax you have to pay anyway), then what is the deterrent to getting conventional financing?

So, I did go by to do a visual inspection and peeked in through the windows and a side door was actually not secure so I was able to take a visual as well.

As a newbie to BP, I can't comment on the old website, but I can say that the new site is great...easy to navigate, good visual layout and SO much valuable content!

Cameras even if "dummy" also are a deterrent. 

You could also paint the deck, and/or add texture to it for a visual change.  

However, I am having trouble visualizing structural improvements that bring the value to $50 to $60K.
