I'm 56 and just retired so my plan was different than most. 12 years ago I remarried (no debt) and we bought a house for 200K with 30K down.

Ever hear of people getting remarried, the married, got a divorce, executed a deed, then later remarried, then died......trust me, not only will you not be pulling from appropriate records, you will probably won't know the next step to search for possibilities that could exist.

He was never coming out of the nursing home and he didn't much care how much he got.A widower re-married and his new spouse refused to live in the prior wife's house.

All of his references checked, had a good local job, was divorced but getting remarried, plus he was a nice guy.  

The wife and husband were married years ago and then got a divorce, they never got remarried, but have been together for many years since then.

A relative of mine had a house free and clear, got remarried and died before her husband who wanted to return the house to her grandkids(they were middle aged when they married and both had families from previous marriages) but he must've passed away before updating his will.

The deceased was a widow, never remarried, and has refi'd the house a few times.

She is remarried and we were married.

Long story short, she's been with me for almost 4 years now and re-married to a nice gentleman last year.
