Agreeing with @Erwin Groenendijk that the price of the average property in Spain is much cheaper than in Boston + as low as the average LTR cash flow might be in Spain, it's probably even lower in Boston.This being said, you create wealth with capital appreciation, not cash flow.

Because they have a TON of equity and their mortgage is cheaper than rent and they have no alternativesBK filings will be off the charts the next 2 years and foreclosures will increase but as noted calling a bank is a complete waste of time as they also use 3rd party asset management companies and will not give you time of day.

Beyond that, most self storage only being 8 1/2 foot tall or so wide, a 10 x 30 or 10 x 40 storage unit can't handle RV's and boats.Recreation areas/cheaper land:  The way you beat your competition is to build closer to the Recreation areas or on routes to them, from the populations.

The second  problem is it is difficult to find people who will do preparation of the land for the mobile hand ,and also  I don't really know what is better/easier/cheaper...putting concrete pillars in the ground every 8 feet or putting down an asphalt or concrete slab.

A bad PM can cost you a lot of money in the long run, and a good one can save/make you more than you would have saved using the cheaper option.

ThanksDepending on the number of loans you originate, it may be a lot cheaper to have a servicer manage the loans for you since many can do it for $20-$25/mo per loan.  

If the jobs are the same the cheaper guy is probably fine. 

Ideally, I’d prefer to invest in my hometown, Tyler, TX, about 2 hrs from Dallas, because I’m more familiar with the best areas to invest in and real estate is much cheaper than DFW.
