In-person courses could help you retain the information better.

My son took the prelicensing course to be an agent when I had my team as big as fifty, but since it was online, he was bored, didn't pay that much attention, and didn't take the test.

I can't speak to the quality of his course though as I've never taken it.

But the best course of action here is two fold: Visit your local REI groups.

If you are handling that side of things, then of course it makes sense to map it all out and start planning your purchases. 

I would start here: Get a Real Estate License in Illinois - Illinois REALTORS - You need to take a 75 hour course and then pass the state and national exam...shouldn't be a problem for you!

Not a course, but I recommend the book "Crushing it in Apartments and Commercial Real Estate" by Brian H Murray.

I met him there to pay him out and in the course of talking he said "man are you lucky to have all these rentals".

Location of accountant: some accountants will charge more if they’re in a higher priced locationGeneralist vs specialist: if you want someone real estate specific, it will likely cost more.

Of course you could do both, depending what kind of capital you have.
