It was interesting to read the case schiller housing data released on Nov 29th which re-affirmed my belief that Chicago is unlikely to see significant price declines.

The two biggest things you can do early on are 1) defeat your limiting beliefs and 2) get out and network.We all have limiting beliefs. 

As mentioned above, it is your intent at the time the contract is consummated that matters, however...If it is your belief that a job transfer out of state in the very near future is more likely than not you're entering some grey territory right there. 

Business ethics are the standards of conduct expected within an industry, these standards are not one person's beliefs or point of view, these standards are adopted by an industry over time, with considerations given to legal, social, economic  and governmental aspects of that industry.

At that time, similar to now, I assume you held the belief that San Diego did not have any "smart" purchases.  

My first "close" was to convince them to board me as a new agent, despite the fact that they hadn't come downstate yet (not on local boards, MLS, etc, so for them to invest in that would require a lot of belief in what I wanted to do).I also started learning about marketing (focusing on digital) for my next book launch and got so passionate about it I contract my services out to local brick and mortar businesses (I will assist with their social media content, write blogs, email campaigns, run their ads, re-do their website, and more). 

If you share the authors beliefs, it makes the book that much better.  

@Mark SewellI don't know about that... that's a pretty limiting belief because there's a certain beauty to no brand marketing that allows you to operate more freely.

I'm under the belief that the same would be true at the state level, but my neighbor got into my head stating it is taxed as long term cap gain in NY.

I love that last question because it really does make people question their beliefs and views.
