If you can find a good enough deal to do some cosmetic upgrades you might be able to make decent money selling to a first time home buyer, or maybe turnkey rental investor.

There is a upgraded marketing package that you can pay for $35 (I think).

We plan to DIY and upgrade, and our exit strategy will depend on what rents look like in four years as to whether we hold or BRRR.

On old houses, we always recommend upgrading plumbing (#1 on the list as can cause most damage) electrical and heat systems (if needed). 

We have kept up on maintenance and we just renovated the lower level and upgraded the plumbing so we do not anticipate too many issues, but you never know what tomorrow brings when you have a 60 year old house!
