It’s what makes the most sense to you and fits your vision for yourself.

There are a lot of moving pieces ... identifying the property - having the vision for maximizing the ARV - estimating the rehab costs - negotiating to buy at the right price - keeping you in the loop as the work progresses - staying on schedule and on budget - maximizing the resale marketing and minimizing the overall hold time. 

If you have not already, I highly recommend expanding on that goal, really working out the details of where you want to be in 10-years (develop a vision).

Don’t let anyone steal your vision or dream

In order to succeed however you will need focus and your focus should be aligned with your vision and goals.

As with anything, do your research and make sure it is the best choice for your 10 year vision.

You can make it work, you just have to be willing to compromise on your original vision, in pursuit of getting started.

We have another SFH I would like to add an ADU to, but my husband does not share my vision and is not on board because parking on that street is already a challenge.
