Also, Barcelona has outlawed short term rentals from Air BnB in order to control issues they've been having with tons of tourists, and they've been fining people for renting without permits:https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2017/aug/11/barcelona-spain-anti-tourism-protest-segway-banI believe renting your place out for longer than 31 days is possible, and there are property management companies that could help with that, but I just couldn't find anything in the area I wanted to be in that was less than 200,000 Euros.
