I live in Cypress (Long Beach area) and drive about 1 hour 20 minutes to my rentals in Loma Linda (San Bernardino County).

I had several 20% off coupons and this helped keep the cost down quite a bit.My bathtub, shower and carpet all came from Menards as no where else could even compete.All of my kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities and countertops came from Carter Lumber (Local Lumber Yard) No one else could compete with these prices either.We do not have a Lowes or Menards in the town I live in and I had to go to the closest town that did have these an hour away.

And if your plan is just cold calling Bob Carter or Jack Scott to see if they have anything to sell, then never mind.

@Linda WeygantEven though the yo-yo wasn't articulate enough to explain it, I would suspect the tripping hazard would relate to trying to create treads with the vinyl planks.
